About Me
I didn’t set out to be the “cookie lady.” I just loved baking. Then Crohn’s disease showed up when I was a kid, and after a tough hospitalization in 2012, I started reading labels like my life depended on it—because it did. That journey pushed me into health coaching so I could help others fight the same battle. And it’s why you’ll never see me selling neon-dyed, candy-stuffed cookies or store-bought shortcuts. If I can’t make it from scratch with ingredients you can pronounce, it doesn’t go on the menu. Period.
Better Butter began in the most old-fashioned way—I invited myself. My neighbors were selling freeze-dried candy at an event, and I showed up with cookies. By the second event, I was on my own, and people were lining up for the flavors that reminded them of home.
And the style? That’s just me having fun. I grew up on I Love Lucy, The Dick Van Dyke Show, Andy Griffith—those classic black-and-white laughs. So I leaned all the way in: 1950s housewife dresses, a vintage cookie camper, and cookies that taste like grandma’s. It’s nostalgia you can eat—a hug from the good ole days, wrapped in butter and sugar.
Better Butter Cookie Company is part faith, part grit, part fun. Because life’s too short for fake cookies.
